This nonprofit, nonpartisan organization is dedicated to defending and protecting our individual rights and personal freedoms. Through advocacy, education and litigation, our attorneys, advocates and volunteers work to preserve and promote civil liberties including the freedom of speech, the right to privacy, reproductive freedom, and equal treatment under the law. The ACLU stands in defense of the rights of women and minorities, workers, students, immigrants, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, and others who have seen bias and bigotry threaten the rights afforded to all of us in this country by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The GLCC provides gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender GLBT individuals, their families, and supporters in Western Pennsylvania with resources and opportunities to promote visibility, understanding and equality within the LGBT communities and the community-at-large. Their organization has been educating western Pennsylvanian citizens about global interdependence for over sixty years.

Experiencing gay cinema from around the world offers you a different perspective and adds an interesting dimension to your trips. Whether it is LGBT comedy films , lesbian films or coming out movies — we love them all! And of course, there are plenty more all over the globe — or perhaps near where you live — and you can find many, many more making appearances in our gay city guides.
Viewers can buy full-access festival passes or purchase tickets for individual films, with discounts available to students. Similar to an in-person film festival, the features are only available for a limited time, and audience members are encouraged to vote for their favorite film. TJ Murphy, the executive director of the film festival, said ReelQ wanted to host an online event after collaborating virtually with City of Asylum in May. Murphy said he values the sense of community in film. He also said that audiences should feel comfortable discussing the films and engaging in unfamiliar storylines.
